It connects directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure match and can adapt to Roadmaster or Demco systems with the correct adapter (RM-031, RM-031-5, or DM9523041, sold separately). That means you can build your flat towing setup around parts you already trust without starting from scratch.
This base plate kit comes ready to bolt on using the supplied mounting hardware—no welding required. Integrated mounting points let you add an electrical connector bracket if you choose (sold separately), keeping your wiring neat up front. With clear instructions and basic tools, it’s a job most DIYers can tackle confidently over a weekend project.

It has been a good system. I would still give it 4 stars a year later just because it was a difficult job to install. Not for the faint of heart. So far have about 6k miles of towing with it. Would I do it again….Yes as it was worth the effort.
